The school committee of curriculum runs the operation of the curriculums, which are focused on extending students’ choices and autonomy.
Our school runs nongraded credit system for graduation. This is generally a 3-year course with the possibility of students graduating earlier by taking summer or winter courses.

We have enrichment and acceleration learning available for all the students through the Advanced Placement program, the Placement Test, and so on.
Our school’s location allows us to take advantage of many human and material resources in the Daedeok Special Research and Development Zone, which includes the International Science and Business Belt, Korea Advanced Institute of Science and Technology (KAIST), Chungnam National University. Thanks to our central location, students can have many enriching cultural and artistic experiences. Currently, we have formal agreements with 19 organizations to assist our students.
Our students will build knowledge in green energy science through learning fundamental and engineering theories, and conducting field research with researchers from KAIST, the Daedeok Special Research and Development Zone, and the International Science and Business Belt.
We are implementing curriculum for well-rounded education. To this end, students should take 62~64 credits in the humanities, art, music, physical education, and liberal arts. It is obligatory for freshmen to take special lectures and reading classes in classical humanities. Extracurricular programs in art, music, and physical education are offered over the weekends, along with many opportunities for special lectures and field trips for hands-on experience.
Our students will be paired with renowned professors, or scientists, who will work as their mentors. These mentors will be a guide for students’ future careers and life. We hope the relationships continue after graduation.
Our students are volunteering their talents to elementary and secondary school students living in underprivileged areas which are in need of educational help. Our school is also arranging various volunteer opportunities to foster upright characters and community spirit for our students.
Our school provides our students with opportunities to learn recent trends and methodologies in science through exchange programs with prestigious institutions and universities. We are raising our students to be global leaders in the future through offering many opportunities to meet young, promising, international students around the world. Along with the student exchange program, students have broad options in choosing their curriculum by allowing credit transfer from our international sister schools.
